National Board for Quality Promotion (NBQP) works on the mission of promoting the quality of life of the Citizens of India. The Board organizes events i.e., Quality Conclaves (National/Regional/Virtual) and Quality Month Competitions. To enhance awareness on quality the board organises in-house and public training programs/awareness programs/webinars. QCI institutes the QCI - D. L. Shah Quality Award (Project Based) & QCI Champion Award (Individual Based) & also partners with external bodies to execute their Quality Award. Board also provides technical support to both Central/State government departments & CPSEs in implementing ISO 9001, ISO 50001, ISO 45001 Standards as well as in undertaking process improvement projects through the Kaizen/ Lean/ 5S methodology. The board provides technical support for assessments as per PCMM® at CPSEs and impact assessment for training programs. It also operates scheme for registration of Consultants/Auditors & Management System courses as well as Individual/Corporate Professional Membership schemes. To enhance the knowledge on Quality Best Practices it releases a technical publication and also maintains a Quality e-library.
